I am an apprentice at Salford City College and my day to day duties include dealing with the post, filing, photocopying, meeting and
greeting visitors, preparing refreshments, research, stationery orders, answering calls, booking conference rooms and making diary
entries.
I chose to do an apprenticeship to gain experience whilst working, as it gives more of an advantage to gain jobs when applying for them to
have the qualifications and experience.
I chose to study my apprenticeship at Salford City College because of the friendly environment.
After apprenticeship I see my career developing by applying for other jobs, progressing on to NVQ Level 3 Business Administration and
becoming a legal secretary.
I have enjoyed learning a variety of things and having the chance to have my own responsibilities in the work place.
I would recommend doing an apprenticeship to others because you get paid for learning and it is also good if you don’t want to go to
college or university.
