I was an apprentice at Salford City College and am now employed by the college.
My day to day duties include typing, filing, sorting post, arranging meetings, arranging
managers’/directors’ diaries, mileage, petty cash and other administration duties.
I chose to do an apprenticeship because you get experience and qualifications and earn a wage at the same time.
After my apprenticeship I was employed by the college and I hope to make my way up. I would eventually like to become a Personal Assistant.
Whilst on my apprenticeship I have enjoyed meeting new people and learning new and interesting skills.
I would recommend doing an apprenticeship to others because it’s really interesting; you earn whilst you learn and get really good experience.
